Courses

Tailored to Each Students Individual Needs

Traditional music schools offer Courses at 3 levels – Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Each Course is made up of a series of predetermined Lessons (content & structure) delivered using a specific teaching method, Kodaly, and Orff the most common. This ‘one size fits all’ approach is popular at many schools because the Lessons require less effort to teach. Lessons are exactly the same from each student from one intake to the next.

There is no doubt this method works, but is it the best approach? Well, Imperial Artistry says NO! That’s because it fails to consider the fact that every student is different - each has different needs, different challenges and a different way of learning.

Music is not like performing algebra and acting is not like geometry. So, while Imperial Artistry offers Courses across all 3 levels - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced, it’s the method of teaching that the stands the School apart from all others.

Rest assured the Lessons comply with the Australian Music Examination Board syllabus, but they’re designed and delivered according to the individual needs of each student. This gives students at Imperial Artistry a unique advantage. Unlike students at other schools, they get the benefit from Courses that are tailored to suit their unique circumstances, their capabilities, and their unique way of learning.

Private Lessons

With the exception of Music Theory, Acting, Introduction to Music (for beginners) and specially arranged Master Classes, all lessons are private. Our students receive dedicated one-on-one lessons where they are they have the complete attention of a trained professional and the benefit of a course that was designed specifically for them.

Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced

Imperial Artistry offers courses for a comprehensive range of instruments - the Piano, Flute, Guitar, Trumpet and drums as well as Singing, Acting and Music Theory lessons. These are available for students at all level - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
